There are several varieties of engine.
- M20B23 with L system. Has a maximum output of 102 kW or 139 horsepower, torque of 205 Nm, uses Bosch Jetronic intake system. Weight 114 kilograms.
- M20B23 with K system. Power output reaches 150 horsepower. Weight is 112 kilograms.
- M20B23 with LE system, characterized by a power of 143 horsepower. Total weight reaches 120 kilograms. Torque 176 Nm at 4.3 thousand rpm.
Differences from M20B20
Began production in 1977, six months after the M20B20 began production. Characterized by an injector fuel delivery system. A similar cylinder block head is used. The main difference is the increased crank length, which was 76.8 millimeters.
