Advantages

It is worth highlighting several significant features that distinguish the N52 from the N53. Motorists applied a direct fuel injection system. The innovative system that changed the valve lift height was replaced by a simpler and more straightforward one. The main solution that both mechanics and drivers were waiting for was the problem of ambiguous behavior of the powertrain at high speeds. Disadvantages

The first thing to look at is the high-pressure pump. It is very sensitive to fuel quality. If you change gas stations, it can quickly become clogged with debris and fail. The powertrain has 4 valves per cylinder and is not equipped with a supercharger. The powertrain also did not get a start-stop system.
